Mobile tyre help in Basel, on the spot

Basel sits where Switzerland, France and Germany meet, with the Rhine running through the middle, the Old Town and the Münster above it, and EuroAirport just out of town. A flat tyre in this three-country corner can be confusing — so we are preparing a mobile service that comes to the car and sorts the tyre in English.

What we do, right where you are

We repair repairable punctures with a plug or a combined patch-plug, and replace damaged tyres in pairs. Everything is done on site: a car park by the Rhine, an underground box in the Old Town, or a safe kerbside in Riehen, Allschwil or Muttenz.

The area we cover around Basel

Planned coverage takes in the city of Basel and its neighbours: Riehen, Allschwil, Muttenz, Binningen and Pratteln, along the A2 and A3 and the Rhine crossings.

How long does it take?

Timing depends on the nearest available partner and is given honestly on the call. In a border city where traffic queues at the crossings, we prefer a realistic window to a fixed promise.

On the motorway? On the A2 or A3 around Basel, never change a wheel on the hard shoulder, especially near the border tunnels. Get behind the crash barrier, hazards on, and call 140. We handle the tyre once the car is safe.

The local picture in Basel

Tram tracks, cobbles in the Old Town and the grit around the border crossings are hard on tyres. The Dreiländereck also means a lot of cross-border driving — worth checking your tyres before a longer run into France or Germany.

Price & payment

The CHF price is quoted before we set off — no surprise surcharge. See the pricing page. Tyres are fitted in pairs (2, 4 or 6).

Basel: your questions

Do you work across the border in France or Germany?

This service is positioned for the canton of Basel-Stadt and the nearby Swiss communes. For an address just over the border, tell us the exact location and we'll say honestly whether a partner can reach it.

Can you come to a car park in the Old Town?

Yes, if the headroom and access allow and the spot is safe to work in. Cobbled lanes can limit vehicle access, so give us the exact location.

Do you tow if the tyre is beyond repair?

No. We fit new tyres in pairs on the spot. Anything beyond the tyre is a matter for 140 (road assistance) or your insurer — we don't tow.

Are prices in CHF?

Yes, in Swiss francs, quoted before we set off.
